As many of us know that JioFi is a portable Wi-Fi hotspot that helps us to connect non 3G devices to access high-speed 4G Internet wirelessly, any device having a wifi receiver can be able to establish a connection with this device may it be a Laptop, PC, Tablet or a Smartphone device.

Like all the other routers, the JioFi Portable router also needs to be set up properly, although the settings are quite simple and you don’t need to set up anything at the very first use, but later you may think about the settings to change anything, if you want in the future.

That’s where the Jiofi local html is important, it allows you to configure your portable hotspot, and let you manage your device password, connection details and other such features easily, from a single dashboard.

What is Jiofi.local.html? 

The Jiofi.local.html is the admin console or a dashboard that lets you to easily manage your device settings, SSID, password, connection and other important features from your Smartphone/computer by just logging in, within a few seconds.

Who can use the Jiofi.local.html Dashboard?

Any user who is already connected to the specific router and also have the admin credentials (e.g. Username & Password) can easily log in to the control panel and use it according to their requirements.

How to Access the Jiofi local html dashboard?

To gain the access to the control panel dashboard, all you need to do is just type the URL: http://jiofi.local.html in your browser (from any device), but just make sure you are already connected to that specific router and already has the admin access to login.

You can access the page anywhere, as long as your device is inside the range of the router.

Some Specific Tasks You Can Perform by Using this Dashboard:

Change your SSID: If you ever want to change your device SSID name (device name) then you can easily do this inside the control panel, it helps you to hide your device from nearby unauthorized users.

Change your device Password: This is the most important task that you can perform by logging in to the dashboard, from where you can easily change and reset your JioFi device password without any hustle, to improve your device security time-to-time.

Check signal strength: If you are in a slow network region or having slow or no internet connection while using your router, you can check the signal status and the device status from the dashboard also, it will provide you a clear idea about your signal strength.

Limit device connections: A JioFi device can serve nearly 30 devices at the same-time, but on the other side, your connection speed will drop drastically when multiple users connected to the same device, now what you can do is just limit your clients connection by speed or block their devices to increase your connection stability.

Reset your device settings: Sometimes, while making some random changes to the device settings we accidentally made some mistakes which at the end malfunction the device or the connection, but we have a chance to reset the device settings like the new one, it’s usually called the factory reset. Which you can do from the dashboard to setup everything from the scratch, if there are any issues noticed.

Setup Sleep Mode: The sleep mode function helps you to set a specific timer, where you have to setup the time and delay, after that time the device will automatically turn off itself to prevent unnecessary data usage.

User Management: User management tab allows you to provide access to the specific users, and their roles, if you have multiple users using the same device in your office/home.

WPS availability: WPS availability feature lets you to control your WPS requests, if any nearby user is trying to place by pressing the WPS button of the router, without your notice to gain access to the device, if anytime you feel unsecure, you can simply turn it off from the dashboard.

APN Management: This is an optional one, but important. If ever you want to configure/change your APN(Access Point Name) due to any connectivity issues, you can change it there easily. But this one is quite technical, and you must have the right APN profile before you save your changes, or else you will lost your connection permanently, the APN profile is usually set up by the network from the beginning, it doesn’t need additional changes much.
